It’s an All-American week at Vitabath, time to celebrate the American Girl in you. Here are a few ways to let your inner patriotism shine through, inspired by fireworks, fireflies, and star-spangled bangles.

Turn up the cherry-red heat

Wearing red is a sure-fire way to declare yourself worthy of attention. Think Jessica Rabbit – and little red dresses hot enough to make the red carpet curl up and turn pink in embarrassment. How to pull it off on a hot summer’s night? Choose a sleeveless shift, with pleated or flounced detail in the skirt for a 2012 update.

Lighten up the look with a lacey interpretation or sheer fabric falling off the shoulder. Other sporty ways to add red are in a jacket, belt, or handbag. Sometimes just a pop is enough.

Our take on how to dress up a casual pant or shorts look for the 4th of July? Slip your red, white, and blue manicured tootsies into this summer’s favorite sandal – the wedge – stacked up high in juicy cherry red.

Cool down in crisp white

If the temps are making red too hot to touch, cool down with white. Not just for brides (or Puritans) white will cast its cool aura around you and everybody near you. And there are so many ways to go white this year. The crisp and minimalistic look draws attention to buttery smooth skin and is perfect with an updo from this season’s braids. Girly is also a go-to, with enough laces and flounces to set your heart a flutter. Skin is peaking through deep cutouts held together with transparent fabrics, and sheer layers take on an organic quality as they flow to follow your shape and movement.

Start layering your colors with Vitabath

You can go red, white, or blue with Vitabath, too. For example, our Fruit Fanatic WILD RED CHERRY with Cherry Blossom Extract Body Wash will dish up a serving “just picked” cherries to sweeten your skin under that little red dress. Whatever the fragrance, Vitabath will set stage for your best All American girl to step out for an evening of fun and fireworks. Girl bless America!
