Vitabath was honored to have Sara Evans check out our Fragrance Collection Body Washes at the 47th Annual Academy  Country Music Awards. Sara is a woman who definitely fits our idea of a motivational, inspirational role model for women of all ages. She is a strong person in her career and in her personal life.

Sara Evans is an amazing country music star who started out as a little country darling and grew into an explosive star, singing and writing songs like our favorite “Born to Fly”. Sara Evans has won one award each from Billboard, the Academy of Country Music, Country Music Association, Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI) and a Dove Award. In 2001, Sara was the most-nominated artist at the Country Music Association awards with seven nominations overall, and she won her first CMA award when “Born to Fly” won the award for Video of the Year, her first major industry award.

Not only is Sara an award winning singer and song writer, she is also a best-selling author. She has written books such as, “Love Lifted Me”, “Softly & Tenderly”, and “The Sweet By and By.”  Sara made great leaps in her career as a music star, author, by just being herself. Sara is a very down to earth woman who is driven in her endeavors and within her personal life as well. In September 2006, Sara began competing with other celebrities on the third season of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars with (professional) partner Tony Dovolani. Sara was the first country music singer to ever participate in the show. However, she chose to withdraw from the competition due to her divorce.

Sara did not let her divorce hold her back from anything with her career or home life. After her rocky divorce from her marriage to Craig Schelske who is an aspiring politician, Sara, mom to 3 children  (Avery Jack, Olivia Margaret and Audrey), went on to further her career in music, writing, acting and guest appearances on TV shows. Sara never let her divorce hold her back from keeping her life happy and full of hope for the future. She was even able to fall in love again and move forward. On June 14, 2008, Sara married Jay Barker, a former University of Alabama quarterback, national championship winner and current radio show host.

Vitabath recognizes and appreciates strong women who are an inspiration, a role model, and a motivational person to women of all ages. Sara Evans, you most certainly are a part of that list! Thank you for all that you do and continue to do.

This Sunday, April 22, 2012 will mark the 42nd year anniversary of Earth Day.  This is a distinctive American tradition that helps preserve the environment and its natural resources but it also encourages people to appreciate the wonders of Mother Nature.

There are so many ways to honor our planet.  You can go all out and do something grandiose to help our planet or you can go the simpler route. Either way you will have a positive impact on the planet. Here are a few ways you can help out this Earth Day.

Help the Earth Day Network reach a ‘Billion Acts of Green’ by pledging a Green Act of kindness on their website .
